Create a fake rainbow

On this tutorial we will learn how to create a fake rainbow

Open the image that you want to work at photoshop, if you dont have a image you can try out this tutorials with the image i m using.Name this layer as background

Create a new layer above the background layer, Double-click on the new layer’s name and rename it “Rainbow”

Select the Gradient tool from the Tools palette, click on the Gradient Picker from the Options Bar.Click the right-pointing arrow in the top right of the Gradient Editor, Select the “Special Effects” gradients from the list.

Click “Append” to add the new “Special Effects” gradients in with the original gradients.

Click on “Russell’s Rainbow” to select it.

Now lets Drag out a radial rainbow gradient from right to left in the image that is on the rainbow layer.

Now Change the blend mode of the “Rainbow” layer to “Screen”

Now Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to bring up the Gaussian Blur dialog box. set the

Blur Radius 20-24 pixels

Now add a layer mask to the rainbow layer, change the gradient tools and select the gradient style to foreground to background, set the foreground color to black and background to white.

Now Select the “Linear Gradient” option in the Options Bar.

Drag a black-to-white gradient from the base of the rainbow to the top of the image.

Select the layer rainbow and go to Layer>Layer Mask> Apply

Now select the eraser and erase the unwanted part of the rainbow
