Create a Planet in Photoshop

On this tutorials we will learn how to create a cool green planet in just few steps.

Today on this tutorials we will learn how to create a cool planet in photoshop

1.Lets start by opening a new document 600×600 and fill the background with Dark Blue color.

2.Now lets add some star, go to Filter>Noise>Add Noise and set the setting as show in the image below.

3.Now Create a duplicate a copy and change the layer mode to overlay, now lets combine the two layer by Pressing Ctrl+E.

4. Repeat the step 3

5. Now Create a new layer and using the Elliptical Marquee Tool lets draw a circle

6. Now You need to decide what color you want your planet to be, for this tutorial i am using #244c04(dark green) as my foreground and #8e9c82 as my background.

7. Now lets apply cloud effect. Go to Filter>Render>clouds.

8. Now we want to bring out some of the color so what we are going to do is Go to Filter>sharpen>unsharp mask and change the setting Amount to 500-Radius to-38.1 and Threshold to 0.

9. Now what we are going to do deselect(ctrl+d) and then copy the layer and then go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90 cw and change the layer mode to overlay.

10. Now we can join this two layer pressing Ctrl+E, now we need to give some depth looks, holding your Ctrl click on the layer to select as show below.

11.Go to Filter>Distort>Spherize and set the ammount to 100%.

12.Repeat the step 11 but this time set the ammount to 50%.

13. Now lets add lightning effect,Lets go to Filter>Render>Lightning Effect and adjust it as shown below.

14. Now lets add some glow to give a cool look. Double click on the layer 1 and select Outer Glow and set the size to 35 and opacity to 50% now select inner glow and set the size to 43 and opacity to 39 and press ok.
