Floral text effect

Simple text effect tutorials

1. Create a new document with 800×500 px and fill the background with #FFFFFF

2. Select the type tool from the tool box and type, for this tutorial i type movie, you can use your own, please note make sure you choose a font style to bold.

3.Double click on the text layer and set the setting

(a) Drop shadow – blend mode to multiply, opacity = 75%, distance = 2px
spread = 0%, size = 13 px

(b) Inner shadow – Blend mode to multiply, opacity = 45%, distance = 2px
choke = 0%, size = 5px

(c) Outer glow – blend mode to normal, Opacity = 40%, noise = 0%, set color of glow to black, elemets technique to softer, spread = 0%, size to 5 px

(d) Bevel and Emboss – change style to inner bevel, technique to smooth, depth = 100%, size = 3px, softer = 12px

(e) Stain – Blend mode to color burn, opacity = 40%, angle 19, distance = 11px,size = 14px and set the contour to cone inverted.

(f) Gradient overlay – set the blend mode to linear light, opacity = 15% and
scale = 111%

(g) Stroke – set the size = 1px, opacity = 40% and change the color to black

4. Now we are done with our tutorials, lets go two more steps to add another simple text effect on it.

5. Create a new layer, holding down your the CTRL key left click on the text layer, now you can see the text selection

6. Now create a new layer and follow the step 7

7. Now select the brush tool and select a brush style you want to work with, for this tutorial i m using smoke brush you can download it from here. Make sure the selection is still active, choose color for the brush and apply the brush on the new layer.
