Glossy Reflection Text Effect

Lest Create a new file 500×300

Now what we are going to do is fill the background with black.

NOW let create a text with a white font color and lets make sure we select the nice font type to bold and we are going to type PHOTOSHOP.

Now we are going to apply layer style to this text so double click on the text layer and that will bring a layer style box.

Now first thing we are going to do is we want to add a color gradient to our text with dark red to bottom light red on top.

Add a white stroke and Bavel and Emboss.

Change the Bavel and emboss structure size to 3 and soften to 3.

Lets create a inner glow

Now what we are going do is adding a glassy effect, you might have seen in lots of logo where there is a slight white reflection over the top.

Create a new layer make sure you new layer is on the top of the text layer.

NOW lets create a shape, select the pen tool and make sure you have the select layers and your foreground to white.

Make a straight line from the left to right using your pen tool.(we are going to end up creating a rectangular that is going to apper on the top half of the text.)

Click on the line to add a point(to make a wave style)holding ur Ctrl key move the point we just added upward now release the ctrl and click on the line to add a point holding your Ctrl pull down the point we just add and realease the ctrl. Now we have nice wave going down.

Now complete the rectangular continue drawing the straight line from the right end point.

Right click on the layer and restrize layer.

Now Ctrl click on the text layer, now lets contract the selection, go to SELECT>MODIFY>CONTRACT set the contract by to 3.

Now lets delete everything outside the selection, so what we need to do is to invert the selection, press ctrl+shift+i and press delete and press ctrl+d to deselct everything.

Now change the opacity to 20%
